Notes to consider when ordering/using Fresh Sawn Green Oak Beams & Sleepers

End trimming may be required. Surface checking, shrinkage and some face splitting will occur during the natural drying process of the timber.
Some blue black staining may occur on the oak when it has been in contact with ironwork, along with water staining which can be removed with recommended cleaning agent.
Tannin leach may arise from fresh sawn oak. Stain protection may be required on susceptible areas
