Yard Supervisor

This varied role will include

  • Ensuring the safe & efficient running of the yard and warehouse
  • Loading and unloading vehicles,
  • Stock control and general warehouse duties.

Hours of work: 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday & Saturday am Rota

Trade Counter Assistant

This varied role will include trade counter sales, local van deliveries, telephone queries, placing orders with suppliers, loading and unloading vehicles, stock control and general warehouse duties.

You will be required to use the computer for invoicing and stock control.

HGV Class 2 Delivery Driver

We are looking for someone to join our team of drivers to use a 26tonne P310 Scania truck with Hiab Crane and an Iveco 7.5tonne with Fassi Crane

We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Sales person specialising in Timber and Building materials, with proven sales experience from the Builders Merchant industry.

We expect excellent communication skills with an ability to build customer relationships and to develop new sales opportunities.

Job description:

  • Supporting sales department
  • Making outgoing calls
  • Receiving incoming calls
  • Providing excellent customer service to clients
  • General administration duties
  • To support and grow within the sales and marketing of the business

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in 5 subjects with good grades in English Language & Mathematics.

Key Details:

This role involves dealing efficiently and effectively with customers via phone, fax and email and trade counter.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a timber sales role and possess some relevant product knowledge of softwoods,
hardwoods, sheet materials, manufactured joinery products and related Diy products.

The candidate must be reliable, conscientious and adaptable, possess at least basic IT skills and will be comfortable working as part of a team.

  • Full time. 9-00am to 5.30pm Mon–Fri

You will be using  our modern woodworking equipment in our own sawmill for cutting and machining timber to size and for our customers requirements.

We have an opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic individual to join our team at Chiltern Timber Supplies Ltd. You will be involved in receiving/dispatching of goods, order picking, stock replenishment, serving customers, local multi-drop deliveries and loading/unloading of vehicles.

Your strong customer service and communication skills, confidence and initiative are offset by a commitment to learning and professional development. Neat presentation, a current driver’s licence and basic computer skills will seal your success. Also, you must have a current forklift licence.
