Prime American Black Walnut Kiln Dried FSC Sawn Boards
Heartwood can range from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks. Color can sometimes have a grey, purple, or reddish cast. Sapwood is pale yellow-gray to nearly white.
Usually easy to work provided the grain is straight and regular. Planer tearout can sometimes be a problem when surfacing pieces with irregular or figured grain. Glues, stains, and finishes well. Responds well to steam bending.
Walnut is used for a wide array of products including furniture, interior joinery and construction.
It can be finished to a smooth surface for polishing and staining.

This product is not available for delivery via a courier and will not be processed if you select ‘Courier service’ as a delivery method
All sizes listed are approx. finished sizes
Lengths subject to availability but sold in 300mm increments ie 0.9m, 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m etc. The majority of stock lengths we keep are 2.4m & 3.0m lengths.
We will send the nearest quantity of timber that we can, but this is dependent on the lengths available at the time of order.
For example if you order 10 metres, we may send, and charge for, 3 lengths at 3.6m, giving you a total of 10.8m.
We will do our best to accommodate any lengths specified. We can’t always guarantee that we can supply requested lengths, but will supply closest length available.
