Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean, dry and bare, removing any previous finishes with Liberon Wax and Polish Remover or Liberon Fine Wood Stripper. If the wood is to be died or stained, this must be completed prior to the application of Liberon Easy French Polish. Sand with extra fine abrasive paper and remove any dust with a tack cloth.
Application
Using a good quality lacquer brush or lint-free cloth apply a thin coat of Liberon Easy French Polish, working with the grain of the wood. Allow a drying time of 3 to 4 hours then gently rub down the dried coat using Ultra Fine Steel Wool (grade 0000) for a smooth finish. Remove any dust. Apply additional coats as required, following the instructions above. Three to four coats are usually sufficient to achieve a quality finish.
Important
Always test product first on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result.

Best results are on small to medium sizes pieces. We recommend practicing on a small piece before applying to a larger surface. For a higher gloss finish, use Liberon Burnishing Cream once the last coat has hardened for 7 days. For a soft sheen use Liberon Furniture Wax.French Polishes are best applied in a warm, dust-free environment.
