Thermally modified Radiata Pine

Abodo is made from FSC® certified radiata pine clear wood modified in New Zealand with a custom Thermowood schedule at 230 degrees.

Abodo timber machines and moulds very well, showing a very attractive grain and finish.

Excellent machinability. Timber exhibits reduced splitting strength, therefore care should be taken to use sharp tools and pre-drill fixings. Fine dust is created from machining so good extraction is required

Abodo is also ideal for Play grade structures such as Tree Houses, Childrens Play Houses and structures used in play areas.  Although Radiata Pine splits, it doesn’t produce hazardous ‘finger trap’ air cracks, so safe for ‘little fingers’

 Abodo Vulcan is a carbon negative product.

Product Description

Abodo sash material is used to make replacement sash window frames

The 44mm finished size range is the most requested replacement size on the market.

The sash bar is used to create Georgian style panelled sash windows.

All sizes listed are finished sizes. Lengths subject to availability but sold in 300mm increments ie 0.9m, 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m, 2.7m, 3.0m, 3.3m, 3.6m, 3.9m, 4.2m, 4.5m, 4.8m, 5.1m, 5.4m.

We will send the nearest quantity of timber that we can, but this is dependent on the lengths available at the time of order.

For example if you order 10 metres, we may send, and charge for, 3 lengths at 3.6m, giving you a total of 10.8m.

We will do our best to accommodate any lengths specified. We can’t always guarantee that we can supply requested lengths, but will supply closest length available.
