Sawn Green Oak chunky shelving available from stock

Green Oak is Oak that is newly cut (within the last 18 months) and hasn’t properly dried yet, with a moisture content of approx. 60-80%.  This means that as it is used inside it will still be drying which can mean that it splits and moves as it dries out.

Available as 2.4m lengths, but can be cross cut to order when purchasing our cross cutting service.

Perfect for a rustic character look, but not if you are looking for a clean contemporary look.  If the clean look is what you need then you should look at our other shelving including the Chunky Oak, Rustic Oak, Oak PSE or Laminated boards

The boards are a rough sawn finish, and can be left as such.  They can also be planed or sanded to give the finish you are looking for.  Any machining carried out by ourselves will incur additional charges
