Character Green Oak Beams
Ideal for projects where you need/want splits, shakes etc. These can be sanded, planed and finished to give stunning results. Perfect for the more rustic looking projects and interior designs
Please note fresh sawn oak will have some discoloration on the faces and some shrinkage & movement will be inevitable as the oak dries out.
End trimming may be required
Surface checking, shrinkage and some face splitting will occur during the natural drying process of the timber.
Some blue black staining may occur on the Oak when it has been in contact with ironwork, along with water staining which can be removed with recommended cleaning agent.
Tannin leach may arise from the fresh sawn Oak. Stain protection may be required on susceptible areas.
